There were two major events going on yesterday for the people in the Netherlands: firstly, the elections. Secondly, and most importantly, the iPhone 5 release! Honestly, I do care about the Dutch government and believe me, I did a lot of research before deciding what to vote for, but when I realized that I wasn't in Rotterdam when I wanted to vote and had a Rotterdam voting pass, I didn't really care. So, I didn't vote yesterday. More excited was I about an hour before the Apple release, because I've mentioned before, I'm an Apple addict...
It couldn't come soon enough and me and my boyfriend were following the live online reports by several news reporters that were present at the release and were reporting on all that was said and was going on. When it finally came, I have to be honest, I was a bit disappointed. After the introduction of the impressive Samsung Galaxy S3, I expected Apple to come with something major. When it turned out to still look extremely much like the present iPhone 4S, I was bummed out. But honestly, after looking at the website yesterday evening, I had to admit, I'm liking it more and more.
Basically, it's thinner, lighter, one icon in the rows of icons bigger and the back is pretty and shiny! It consists completely out of aluminimum and glass. Furthermore, it has a retina display, it's faster and it has new features that come with IOS 6. A new peculiar feature is, I think, the weird headphones. They're something different... Anyways, I like it. Especially in white I think it's prettyyyy. But, I'm still happily together with my current white iPhone 4S and I'm not planning and trading it for the more advanced version any time soon. Maybe by the time the iPhone 6 comes out, I will be done with this one and really impressed with the release instead of a little disappointed at first.
What do you think? You like it?
Love,
