Estocolmo!

Estocolmo. I'll always remember this from my time in Costa Rica. I was super close with a girl from Stockholm, Sweden, and I was fascinated. Sweden is a country that most Dutch people don't know a whole lot about. Including me. I wasn't all too enthusiastic about Scandinavia when I was younger, either. It all always appeared a little too many mooses and to few amount of style and trends.

Obviously, that is nowhere near true at all and after hanging out with two Swedish friends for 4 months, I had gained a lot of Swedish words and a whole lot of renowned enthusiasm for the country. It sounds great and because I'm currently playing with the thought of an international exchange for next year, Stockholm is high on my list! Of course, I have nothing to support this with other than a gut feeling and nice stories, so I booked two tickets to Stockholm last week. Here we come!

Me and my boyfriend have planned the trip for 15,16 and 17 November, which is still two months away, but I'm already looking in detail at all that I want to go and do there. This is currently on the list:
  • Go out to dinner at FrantzĂ©n/Lindeberg. This has been listed as number 20 of the 50 best restaurants in the world and has 2 Michelin stars. Me and my boyfriend go out for dinner as a hobby and I'm actually just as willing to spend 250 euros on diner as on a new Marc Jacobs bag. That's how crazy we are... Haha.
  • Shopping! I know that it's crazy expensive shopping there, but it is also a great fashion city.
  • Meet my friend Charlotte, from Stockholm.
  • Wander through the streets of Gamla Stan, the old town of Stockholm.
  • Visit city hall and the royal palace.

I'll be looking for anything else to do, and I'm open for all ideas :).

Love,
